On Monday, October 29, 2012 Hurricane Sandy made landfall and turned New York City upside down and into the dark.
The largest Atlantic hurricane on record, Sandy viciously claimed homes and business, parks and boardwalks, subway tunnels and city streets, and most tragically, many lives. Stunned and heartbroken by the devastation, we wanted desperately to help somehow.
Happily, so did many of our friends. Together, we want to comfort those who are suffering, to add a bit of beauty back to our city, and to raise some money to help those doing the heavy lifting. We want to help New York City get its light back—literally and figuratively.
And so we have launched Print Aid NYC, a project we hope will meet these goals. We hope you will help us do it!
